[edit]This page should not be speedily deleted because... (your reason here) --Susansm (talk) 09:19, 14 March 2013 (UTC)
I firmly believe that the purpose of wikipedia is to chronicle all important events/people/institutions and Akasa deserves a place on this site!
Akasa has a fan following in London and India. Their music was played on MTV during the early years and fans like me stand by them. Sophia Haque passed away recently and I was surprised that there was no reference to this band online.
Akasa may not have made an impact as high as other popular bands but they continue to live in our hearts through their music. I created this page with the little information I was able to come across. It should be retained and not deleted.
Here are some links for your reference. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oORtlqRPNPI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=InLik5O_BkM&feature=youtu.be http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Ivduo_WasA&feature=youtu.be
I simply can't find any other references, which is why a wiki page for this band if important. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Susansm (talk • contribs) 09:43, 14 March 2013 (UTC)
- If there are no other sources, it fails WP:N. The band might be important for you and others, but that's not enough for an article here.-- Dewritech (talk) 10:12, 14 March 2013 (UTC)
I admit I am new to Wikipedia and not aware about the rules. And your link clearly mentions the clause on references. Thanks for the link.
I did a more thorough study online and came across several references for this band:

I assure you - and I am speaking on behalf of the fans of this band - that they clearly deserve a wiki page. I sincerely hope the deletion is revoked. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Susansm (talk • contribs) 11:36, 14 March 2013 (UTC)
- Just add the sources to the article and improve it.-- Dewritech (talk) 11:44, 14 March 2013 (UTC)
