Purpose
[edit]What does the locution "install canal locks" mean? A lock is a large structure that's typically built in place. The current wording is roughly equivalent to saying a tower crane is used to install buildings.
Was this intended to be a reference to the crane being used to install lock gates, or other components? 137.161.255.21 (talk) 20:41, 13 March 2017 (UTC)

- Now: built to move and install the canal locks, other large parts of the Panama canal. Ajax also helped in ship repairs and clearing the canal as needed.
