Accident in Heathrow
[edit]I saw a television program a while ago and I remember that they stated that the cause of the accident was the fact that the cross-feed valve had been open about 1 cm or so, and thus, one wing was heavier than the other. When the aircraft lost an engine, the plane crashed. Somebody has more information?
- AFAIK, it was a fatigue failure of the flap control rod on one side. The flap on that side raised (they were lowered at the time), and the aircraft dropped a wing which hit the ground - see here: 1968 BKS Air Transport Heathrow crash.
