Massive cleanup
[edit]I've undertaken an overdue clean-up of this article. Very little of what was in this article was based on independent reliable sources - nearly everything was based on primary sources, which is very problematic, as was the tone of the article. It many sections, it read as nothing more than a advertisement for both the site and/or the site founder, and contained great amounts of minor and/or un-encyclopedic information. An anonymous IP editor has labeled this vandalism, and blindly reverted - however, this is not the case, and I stand by the cleanup I've undertaken. MikeWazowski (talk) 05:09, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
- And right you are--far better to have short encyclopedic entry than a long piece of propaganda. MartinSFSA (talk) 05:45, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you. Hopefully I can count on your help should the anonymous IP come back in and start reverting. MikeWazowski (talk) 06:01, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
- Certainly, here's a question for you; can we import the SyFy talk page here? It was relevant. MartinSFSA (talk) 06:50, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
- That's great, Mike--didn't you do this before? Remove the exact same puffery? and will so again...MartinSFSA (talk) 12:00, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to 2 external links on Airlock Alpha. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:
- Attempted to fix sourcing for http://airlockalpha.com/
- Attempted to fix sourcing for http://airlockalpha.com/
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}
).

[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just modified one external link on Airlock Alpha. Please take a moment to review my edit. If you have any questions, or need the bot to ignore the links, or the page altogether, please visit this simple FaQ for additional information. I made the following changes:

Current Status
[edit]Please read WP:RELTIME. Seriously, please read it again. "Current Status" was never an appropriate section heading for an encyclopedia, it should not have been used in the first place and it should have been allowed to stay in an encylopedia. It of course inevitably is out of date, and is absolutely not "Current". An encyclopedia is not supposed to be about current temporary things, an encyclopedia is WP:NOTNEWS. It is disappointing not only to see mistakes like this happening but to see it keep happening over and over again and for so few editors to ever do anything about it.
The section said the site went was offline in 2015 and then came back online later that same year 2015, and then claims there has been no new content since.
Looking at AirlockAlpha.com it is clear that some stories were posted as late as 2018.
Years later it is not clear that this section is of any long term notability. Maybe it can be cleaned up, but I think deleting it entirely may be necessary. -- 109.76.144.128 (talk) 20:35, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
- From what I can tell, the website has been offline since at least January 2022. --77.162.8.57 (talk) 19:27, 23 February 2022 (UTC)
