Fair use rationale for Image:Air niugini.jpg

[edit]

Image:Air niugini.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Safety

[edit]

Air Niugini has never lost a passenger or flight crew member on international operations due an aircraft crash since commencement in 1973, an enviable record albeit that several major accidents have occurred domestically but with no deaths.

It's subsidiary PNG Link has not been so fortunate and several disasters have occurred with significant loss of life.

As a retired international pilot with Air Niugini and 23 years service I am in a position to accurately research and update an essential componant of the national airlines safety record. Cuttlefish310 (talk) 22:28, 7 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Link PNG's only hull loss was due to civil unrest in Mendi. No lives were lost. You have confused Link PNG with Airlines of PNG. I doubt you have actually worked in PNG if you can't tell the two apart. 124.240.212.187 (talk) 08:00, 4 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Can you add a reference for the safety and history of pilot training. Especially the story of the pilots coming from australia adds something, but the safety section might not be the correct location. Also, a reference will add value. Despite me trusting you work at the company, anyone could claim such a thing and add nonsense. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.69.228.215 (talk) 12:55, 15 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Article claims P2-PXE landed short. Examination of photos shows it ran off the end of runway 22, to the southwest of the airport.61.69.158.70 (talk) 08:20, 28 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Excessive and undocumented praise

[edit]

In the history part of the company, there a lot of emphasis on training that is very much an hymn to the glory of the company.

I suspect hidden publicity at this point, might be a good idea to trim that a bit. 112.198.27.6 (talk) 05:13, 8 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
