It says She was a conscientious objector during the first Gulf war, but I had no idea that she was ever called up deployed or in part of the Military.

And no list of service or rank is on this. As I understand it, you cannot be a CO unless you're a military person Therubicon (talk) 22:47, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Concientious Objector Status

[edit]

I removed the reference to Ammiee Allison being a conscientious objector since in the US this is a specific classification and not just reference to a general opposition to war or conflict. According to the SSS's website, only people who have been judged fit for conscription into the US military are able to register as COs, and they can only register as a CO after they've been notified of their possible conscription. Aimee Allison is a woman, and therefore is cannot be conscripted into the US armed forces. According to current US law, she cannot be conscripted and therefore cannot be a conscientious objector. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.242.177.92 (talk) 03:04, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Gabbard

[edit]

Given what Allison stands for, the mention of Tulsi Gabbard in this context is misguided. 2603:6011:7812:700:45E4:3A2E:EA17:9AAF (talk) 13:46, 10 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
