I'd like to see this page get updated a little bit.
[edit]Aiko's favorite movies are Spiderman and Spiderman 2 -- there are solid sources for this information, but these movies are 5 years old, at best. She hasn't seen a new movie in 5 years? She's right-handed, she's been to Guam, and Los Angeles (it's O.R.. admittedly), she's released 12 singles and 2 albums, she has trouble using a kitchen knife. She's shared 'the stage' with such models as Hiroko Sato, Haruna Yabuki, and Irie Saaya. She co-starred in 'Girl's Box The Movie - LOVERS HIGH'. She co-hosts 'Cheer Up * Indies' and has been in stage plays. The last re-vamp just prettied up the language a bit, and as in favor as I am of keeping her info updated, it's not much of a change. Who's willing to work with me to make this page a little better? 63.230.53.48 (talk) 05:13, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
-- Hi there! Do you have the sources? I would really love to have them referenced. Yeah, she starred in movies and plays before. I saw it in the Japanese Wikipedia. I'm in favor to make the page better! How can I help? Samantha Lim88 10:09, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

[edit]I agree that any added information needs to be a.) notable and b.) verified. I don't have much experience as an editor and would like to reach a consensus before stepping on anybody's toes.
First, old business: can her 'profession' as listed in the header be changed to something like 'singer, voice actress, and television personality' without excessive citation? All of these (and maybe more roles) are accurate, we might not need to find a page that explicity states she's done so.
Next, instead of 'she is signed on to Avex Trax' could it be changed to 'she has released 12 solo singles and 2 albums on the Avex Trax label'? Her status with that company seems up in the air, and my suggestion does not propose that she is either *with* or *not with* Avex at this point, but merely states that the music she has released is an Avex product.
Last, another fact which does not imply the current status of either group: 'She has performed in the musical units Kin'gyo and A*Girls.'
I would like to see a note about her trying out for Morning Musume, so here's where citations might be necessary. It's certainly notable, and it's also accurate, as I've seen the footage. http://d.hatena.ne.jp/BluePhobos/20070828 -->this may not be the most reliable source but does contain verifications that she was a finalist.
It may not be notable enough, but on the 'cosmic cosmetics' page, it could be mentioned that the photos used for the release were taken at Fussa-shi landmarks. This link: http://fussa.bigmamablog.jp/?search=%B2%C5%CD%DB%B0%A6%BB%D2 can be used to verify. I'm also seriously considering contacting the owners of that site to see if permission could be given to use the first or last photo for the 'Aiko Kayo' page, as they seem to be the only non-Avex or television photos I've found. I feel it's worth a try, but am not fluent in Japanese so would need help contacting them. A fair-use (or non-copyrighted) picture would be great to have here.
Some things I may edit when I get the gumption: songwriter credits on each single page, and Oricon numbers (if available). I may also have a hand at translating the Japanese wikipedia page to make a more complete list of activities. I can translate okay, just can't read it outright.
Slow but steady editing and an adherence to WP:BLP should help this page a lot. I can work to find sources where necessary, and really ought to translate a few interviews that I've found. I first found out about Aiko on this very page and want to give back. 63.230.53.21 (talk) 23:14, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
I have implemented small changes based on my suggestions above, it's been over two weeks with no reply. If you don't agree, please revert. I also changed some wording in the 'about' section to make it flow a little better, imo. May add some more later, please edit at you see fit. 71.32.175.206 (talk) 04:38, 24 February 2009 (UTC)
