Recent additions
[edit]I just recently added the background section and two new pictures to the article.--Pericles of AthensTalk 08:44, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
- I am unable to find any confirmation of the background section, and I am unable to determine what the supposed reference to "Fischer-Elfert (2003)" is actually referring to. Is there evidence that the Ahmes of the Saqqara graffito is the same as the author of the Rhind papyrus, given that it was a common name of the time? Is there anything reliable to say about Ahmes other than that he wrote the Rhind papyrus? If not, I think WP:BIO1E applies and we should just redirect this to the article on the Rhind papyrus. —David Eppstein (talk) 01:29, 28 September 2010 (UTC)
Inconsistent Dates
[edit]The Rhind Papyrus is thought to date from about 1650 BCE. Ahmes, its author, is thought to have lived during the Eighteenth Dynasty. The Eighteenth Dynasty was from about 1550 BCE to 1292 BCE. Am I missing something or is there a contradiction here? Michael Kinyon (talk) 13:23, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
