Removal of sourced information
[edit]Mehmeett21, you have removed sourced information in this article. Explain why. --Mossadegh-e Mihan-dust (talk) 20:32, 3 January 2015 (UTC)
- I believe you may have misread what the Iranica source states. The opening paragraph is about the owner of Aq Sunqur;
- "They are often referred to as the Aḥmadīlī Dynasty because of a connection with Aḥmadīl b. Ebrāhīm b. Vahsūḏān Rawwādī Kordī who is first mentioned by Ebn al-Aṯīr under the year 501/1107-08 and was named as ruler of Marāḡa in 505/1111-12."
- Please notice that Amadil ruled Maraga in 1111-1112, while the Ahmadilis dynasty "atabegs of Maraga"", start date is 1122(which is supported by Bosworth's New Islamic Dynasties, page 198).
- The second paragraph in the Iranica source states,
- "Āq Sonqor Aḥmadīlī (ca. 516/1122-1123 to 528/1133-1134): Āq Sonqor is the first person who can be called an atābak (atabeg) of Marāḡa and the clear founder of the line."
- Now according to Cambridge History of Iran, Vol. 5, page 179,
- "The Ahmadilis of Maragheh took their name from the Rawwadid Ahmadil b. Ibrahim of Tabriz, who was murdered in 1116. In accordance with the prevalent practice, his Turkish slave Aq-Sonqur took the surname of his master's family." --Kansas Bear (talk) 23:35, 3 January 2015 (UTC)
Well this is awkward.. thank you Kansas Bear. --Mossadegh-e Mihan-dust (talk) 23:47, 3 January 2015 (UTC)
- Don't feel bad, it took me some time to work this all out. --Kansas Bear (talk) 23:58, 3 January 2015 (UTC)
