Updates or recent news?

[edit]

Has anybody seen updates, recent news or more details on the AW159? Thanks. -Fnlayson (talk) 15:44, 2 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Update

[edit]

Hi there. I have added some updates and corrected a few minor errors. I am currently serving as a trials pilot with the Wildcat and have been involved with the programme for approx eight years. I just wished to balance the article as it appeared to be rather 'Navy' heavy. The British Army actually took delivery of the Wildcat almost a year before the Royal Navy and much of our work with Wildcat has had very little coverage. As you'll no doubt be aware, AgustaWestland will always favour a naval aspect of the Wildcat as its main export market will always be (as was with the Lynx) the maritime role. Thank you. Potential buyers

[edit]

According to this site[1]: "Potential export customers for the AW159 are believed to include Denmark, Indonesia and South Korea, with representatives from the first two nations having attended a naming ceremony for the type in Yeovil on 24 April." As far as I know, the Wildcat is now an official runner up for the Royal Danish Navy new helicopter procurement. I haven't found any data on how many helicopters they want to buy, but it seems they already operate eight Lynx. Should a 'Potential buyers' section be added? 84.238.73.57 (talk) 21:33, 26 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request its removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.
