Thomas Amendment

Most of that section reads like a legal document. Could someone break it down so that the average joe could understand it?

Perhaps you disagree with the way something is written - so be it. The subject involved is rather complicated and I'm not sure how to address your complaint at this time. If you would like to offer constructive edits, then please do so. But blanking out the entire section is not, in my opinion, the proper way to deal with this.Cvieg (talk) 03:53, 6 March 2015 (UTC)

General comments

I've problems with this--the AAA of 33 did more than described. Despite the name, the AAA[dministration] has its own history. The "soviet influence" is obviously one-sided. As a newbie, I'm trying to get up nerve to tackle revisions.Bharshaw 19:40, 30 June 2006 (UTC)

The paragraph is total nonsense and should be removed...

Legacy

Are any of this law's programs still in effect? Did it have an important impact on federal policy? -- Beland 00:51, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
Not likely, considering it was ruled unconstitutional in 1936. 74.8.67.5 (talk) 20:22, 16 April 2008 (UTC)Jax

Contradiction

'Despite the reduced production, food price increases between 1933 and 1937 were negligible. Consumers bore the brunt of higher food prices and were "horrified with its policy of enforced scarcity."'

If food price increases were negligible, then why would consumers need to "bore the brunt of higher food prices"? Were the food price increases negligible or significant?

I think it should read "increases in commodity prices were negligible, however the placement of tax on food producers for consuming farm products resulted in significantly increased food prices." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.201.136.122 (talk) 06:00, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

Agricultural Adjustment Administration

Who in the world is "Josh Kucer"? I found absolutely no additional reference to this person in the article, nor are there any on the web. Every single one points to this article. Possible that this person damaged this article simply to see his name?

History

"Although the Act stimulated American agriculture, it was not without its faults." This statement does not seem to be very neutral at all in that it takes for granted the AAA "stimulated American agriculture". In particular, even if this statement was cited, which it is not, I would have my doubts as it is a counter-factual. So to me, this statement has problems with both lack of citation as well as issues with neutrality. Atum2462 (talk) 04:51, 28 October 2012 (UTC)

Unconstitutional

Would it be acceptable to post an edit to the main description of the AAA (1933) describing why the act became unconstitutional? It's a small edit with useful information.

Frey and Smith

Can we get some clarification as to why Frey and Smith reference 9 says AAA hurt "negroes" and why Frey and Smith reference 10 says that AAA benefited "negroes"? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.85.253.150 (talk) 06:31, 11 November 2013 (UTC)

Frey and Smith say that a) some people lost their jobs (they were hurt--most moved to the cities); b) those that remained saw their incomes go up. (they were helped). They say the landowners preferred to employ blacks over whites. Rjensen (talk) 06:52, 11 November 2013 (UTC)

Soviet spies

Why is there no reference to the Soviet spy ring that seems to have run this outfit?Royalcourtier (talk) 05:36, 28 June 2014 (UTC)
