Views on Agnosphitys

[edit]

Although Fraser et. al. (2002) view Agnosphitys as a non-dinosaurian dinosauriform, Langer (2004) considers this genus a nomen dubium, due to the ongoing debate as to whether Agnosphitys is a dinosaur or not. Mortimer (2006, online) found Agnosphitys to be a theropod, supporting the hypothesis that Agnosphitys is a dinosaur. (His analysis also recovers Chindesaurus and Guaibasaurus as also basal theropods.) For this reason, do you need to update this page.
