Aztec as the Third Civilization
Can anyone confirm this fact or did some Aztec-lover just put it in?

Where does all information about new European units come from? Directly from Microsoft?

I don't think we need cite needed-signs, at least not at the first section. It is no secret there will be new civilizations, units, maps and campaign.
Release Date

Native Stealth
I don't want to include any of my own original research, but it seems to me like it would be worth mentioning "stealth" that is used in other RTS games. For example, War of the Ring has units which are only available with "detector units" around them. The French in Empire Earth: The Art of Conquest have the power of "camoflauge", making them invisible to enemies after being idle for ten seconds. So is it worth mentioning these in relation to the Native stealth ability? Of course, I suppose it may be best just to wait a week until the game comes out, then the truth can be written in. One playing the demo can see stealth can only be used by a few units. These special few can only move very slowly in stealth, and cannot attack (unless they change to normal, which is done instantly). It can only be used when no enemies are nearby but they can move near an enemy army or base when in stealth mode. I know there's a way for them to be detected (it happenned to me), but I'm not sure how it happens. Bluepaladin 01:21, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

Campaign (incomplete)

The first act opens with Nathaniel Black in his Iroquois village. Knowing the Iroquois nations are having trouble with each other, Nathaniel sets out with with his uncle Kanyenke to fight the Mohawk traitors. Upon returning to his village, they find Nonhankee has been kidnapped by Hessians (German mercenaries fighting with England), in alliance with the Mohawk. She is rescued after a large battle against General Keuchler.
Soon after, Nathaniel joins the Americans in the Revolutionary War, beggining with the Battle of Bunker Hill (It's called Breed's Hill in the campaign: this is correct), continuing throughout other battles, including the winter at Valley Forge, and killing General Keuchler. It eventually ends at Yorktown.
Throughout this campaign, the player can train Iroquois Mohawks and Revolutionary Militia.
The second act begins with Chayton Black, who wishes to fight against the Sioux with the Americans and expand his railroad company.
AOE3
I know that in Age of Empires III, the only cards that you could send are the 1st tier resource cards. But in Age of Empires III: The Warchiefs, there are other cards that can be sent a infinite number of times. I was wondering if this was due to a patch, or due to the expansion; in that I mean is this a Age of Empires III: The Warchiefs feature. Thanks.100110100 12:09, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, I do believe I saw another "infinate" card, but I can't remember which one it was. In the campaign, you can send the 2-settler card infinatly (in both the original and the expansion). In the Age of empires 3: The WarChiefs, They added new cards for all civilizations. If i remember correctly, A new feature was that each civilization had a card in which they could send a band of Allies (or mecenaries) INFINITE times. Another thing i remeber is that The aztec civilization had the ability to sent any gold card (no matter what tier)an INFINITE amount of times. My memory is a little foggy but, for the most part,i think i am right. Hence, to answer the first guy's question, it is a Warcheif feature.69.236.177.242 02:49, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
Unless I'm mistaken, Ottomans have a 4 galley card that can be sent infinite times after age 4 (Level 40 Home City required). I'm not sure if it's worth mentioning, but if it's true that the expansion is the only one with that feature, then I'd say it's worth mentioning--Th3DarkCloud 00:26, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
Chayton Black

Too Many Gameplay Pictures!
Personally, I feel that there are too many gameplay pictures and that they all pretty much show the same thing. I know they can be valuable, but I feel like it's detracting from the article itself. What do you all think? Also, I'm not sure if the "Games for Windows" cover box is the best one to use because this game will be available for Macintosh computers and it could be misleading that this game is not exclusively available for Windows. Circle of Ossus
I'm a little disappointed that the Circle is not mentioned in the expansion. After all, that is how Amelia Black got the funds to expand the railroad. I also would've liked to see Morgan Black show up again, if only once again during credits. Chronolegion 15:33, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

Help
I am on the last leveel of the AOE 3 War Chiefs Campaign where you have to destroy the Hessian's base. I have crossed the swamp and destroyed the gate but I still can't get up on land. Please help.

Civilizations table
Should we change the table, by making some somewhat minor adjustments, and having it ending up looking like the one in Age of Empires III? If we do so, both tables would be more similiar, and this one would look like this:

Sioux | War Chief boosts speed of nearby units, start with 200 covered population slots automatically. Have unique Teepees, which you can only build up to 10 (exception when card sent) to provide a little health bonus to nearby, friendly units. | |
Aztecs | War Chief bonus doubles experience gained in combat by nearby units, have warrior priests that can heal or count as 2 people at the firepit. Start with one Warrior Priest. Except ordinary War Hut, Noble's Hut also acts as a blockhouse, but with a longer range. |
(note that I have changed the images to the most similiar free flag images I could find, because fair-use image sare not allowed here on talk page)
Basically, with these adjustments we would...
- Eliminate the "Home City/Tribal Council" column.
- Merge column "AI Personality" into column "Civilization".
I was about to implement this change, but I was unsure about one thing: Since there are fewer civilizations covered with a table here than in AoE3, should we include more detailed information about each one of them, since they are few; just like 100 dollars divided between 2 people make 50-50 whilst 100 dollars divided between 5 people make 20-20-20-20-20 (which would be theorically the same but with dollars instead of "detail" and a different proportion)? The result of this discussion would also determine the future of the difference of detail of info of civs between the other AoE games and their expansions. ♠TomasBat 01:50, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

Where are the other Civilizations?
The game is really cool and everything but I was wondering where are the Incas or the Mayas, they are far more important than the Iroquois or the Sioux. The Inca empire was the biggest in America before the european came. They should have the places of those other cultures. I mean they didn't even had buildings, the "Go to HomeCity" button doesn't apply to them. The Iroquois and Sioux are important but not as much as the Incas or Mayas, there is a reason why this is called Age of EMPIRES. Ironclads
One of the revolutionary bonuses was (according to the article) "3 ironclads". But ironclads are not mentioned in the bit about new units and (as far as I can tell) don't exist in the normal (unexpanded) game, can someone who has the game please clarify this? Shadoom 22:50, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

Native Civilization Leaders: Hiwatha, Cuauhtémoc and Chief Gall
In the Civilizations Chart it is stated that the native civilization leaders are:
Iroquios: Hiwatha
Sioux: Chief Gall
Aztecs: Cuauhtémoc
Are these just speculations? OR Can anybody confirm this fact? If so, please add a link below.
The civs are right, but the chiefs' names vary (not all brits have the same explorer name.) Check the demo, like I did. Bluepaladin 01:22, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

Revolutonary flags

More emphasis on revolution section
I see that certain information is missing in this section or isn’t emphasized.
For one - Are revolution “continuous”, meaning that you never revert back to normal markets and resource gathering?
Yes, revolutions are continuous. Players who chose to revolt will not be able to revert to markets and resource gathering until the end of the game only. When the game ends and the next game begins, the player that revolted last game will start from the Discovery Age again. In other words, everything that goes on in a game session is temporary. After a game is over, resources will be reset to zero, all unit status upgrades will be removed, and the player will be able to start from scratch again (starting to Age I, up to age V or Revolt again). When is the Gold Edition of Age of Empires III coming out? Please someone reply ASAP...if you are in the business, that is even easier...
