Explaining my edits on Agbado and Agbadi

[edit]

Before my edits here and on Agbadi, article's text was this one. The original 2009 edit was partially changed and, btw, the homonymy with a big and rich family in Benin (a 2010 anon contrib) is totally unrelated and not relevant (note: if "Agbado (family)" is relevant -I really have no idea- an article should be created). As for coodinates in both articles (compare original edits on Agbado and Agbadi), they are the same settlement and, after some research (see Agbadi's refs and the geonames link), the proper name is Agbadi. Talking about the station, it was a confusion with Agbado station in Lagos suburb, part of Lagos Metro project. This place has not a station (nearest one is at Makurdi, 15 km far), not a river crossing (6 km north of Benue River, and nearest bridge is at Makurdi) and, btw, it is not located in Niger or in the Nigerian State of Niger. It is a village (no traces of its town status) of Benue State, part of the LGA of Makurdi. After some research, I found several other places named Agbado (3 in Nigeria, and one in Benin nearby the railway). To avoid a deletion request, because at this point Agbado can't be redirected to Agbadi, I transformed Agbado in a disambiguation page. Links are (by now) red, but the pages should be created: IMHO the page is useful. Also to avoid eventual future confusion among the various Agbado. Regards. --Dэя-Бøяg 06:40, 22 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
