This page needs more info
As above. It barely has any information, and it doesn't even have a section about the Music Video! 86.147.232.46 (talk) 22:24, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
Topic of the track
Both Zacky Vengeance and Synyster Gates have parts in the song where it sounds like the man who dies isnt alone on his journey"
As I see it the man went to follow his love that died into afterlife, but just to say goodbye, because he still has a life to live.
"Gave me your hand but realize I just wanna say goodbye Please understand I have to leave and carry on my own life"
"and I’d hope you might Take me back inside when the time is right"
People voted this the best track on the album, I dont agree, They should re release the poll on their website and get tonnes of people to say lost then release that as a single —Preceding unsigned comment added by Fretwalkers (talk • contribs) 11:06, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
--Afterlife is not heavy metal--
Please stop putting avenged sevenfold as heavy metal. This song is not heavy metal. The chorus has more of a pop feel and the verses sound hard rock. The lyrical content also is not heavy metal. It is talking about a person wanting to escape from their afterlife because they realize they aren't done on Earth yet. In heavy metal lyrics the song would go more along the lines of wanting to stay in the afterlife and ruling their. so again avenged sevenfold is not metal if anything they are emo/pop. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.4.230.184 (talk) 18:08, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
This song is about duty. What you suggested for the metal version sounds like an emotionally unstable power-hungry moral-less individual not doing anything. That is obviously not the purpose of this song. A7X is a metal band, but they shift their style in the chorus to emphasize the importance of their lyrics and change the tone. If you seriously have a problem with this I suggest you do either a bit more research on rhetoric or give a more detailed argument as to why having a decent meaning about duty in a song is incongruous with metal. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.22.223.123 (talk) 04:30, 4 March 2010 (UTC)

Chester
Was Chester Bennigton on it, cause it sounds like his singing on the bridge section. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.178.152.137 (talk) 04:59, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
