Map changes
[edit]Hi,
- I got the impression that the map is showing a certain moment in time (like"latest situation before becoming defunct?). If I read the text well: the country with the headquarters, Congo (Brazzaville), is not colored on the map (and withdrew in 1973). Perhaps this could be noted with the map (say, in text: "Situation year 19xx"). -DePiep (talk) 11:48, 10 April 2009 (UTC)
- The map to this article contains a number of inaccuracies, namely:
- Democratic Republic of Congo should be coloured blue, not red.
- Republic of Congo should be coloured red - it is currently uncoloured.
- Guinea should be uncoloured - it is currently coloured blue.
- Mauritius (shown as a tiny green speck in the Indian Ocean) is incorrectly positioned. It is much further south.
- The unaccuracies cannot be corrected by merely changing the caption (as suggested by DePiper above), as the map did not ever accurately reflect the situation. Can someone please correct the map. Davshul (talk) 20:09, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
- The map still contains the above inaccuracies. Davshul (talk) 20:58, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
English official language?
[edit]Is there any source for this statement? I find it unlikely since the organisation was based on the fact that they had French as a common language. I'll change it until a source is provided. Aaker (talk) 14:59, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
