[edit]Hi Natasha,
I love your article topic! I think it's awesome that you're bringing attention to such an important issue. I thought it was very helpful that you linked to multiple other Wikipedia articles in your lead so as to provide a good amount of background to the reader. I liked that you separated the housing initiatives by city - it's interesting to see the similarities and differences between each city's plans. Good use of the image! I completely forgot to use images in my article, so thanks for the reminder! :)
I think it might be helpful to define what extremely low income and low income mean in terms of percentage below the poverty line or average household income so the reader can get a better idea of the living situation of these groups. It looks like you might be planning to do this, but it would be really interesting if you expanded on what the plans of a few major tech companies are to solve the affordable housing crisis. Lastly, just generally checking for missing words and typos would polish off your piece! (E.g. in the phrase "a 15% from the year before" when you're talking about average monthly inventory of homes)
Super interesting topic and great job!!
Hello Natasha,
I really liked how you presented the definition of Silicon Valley. It is important to establish boundaries for the sake of the article you are writing I think. Rework the median rental rate portion -- be more specific if possible. Great job backing up each argument with specific data, this is helpful in creating your strong argument. Might be beneficial to incorporate headings each paragraph in the "Cost and Availability of affordable housing" section. In the tech industry section maybe discuss what the rates were like pre tech intervention. I would have to imagine almost 100% of the cause for this was the emergence of the tech industry in the silicon valley. Are the tech companies contributing to help curb this issue might be interesting to see if they . Might also be helpful to look at if there were any public projects or plans that didn’t go as planned. Also maybe include what affect this intervention has had on the unskilled labor market in Silicon Valley are people having trouble finding work? This could also be a contributing factor.
I think overall this is a very interesting subject and I know this is a widespread issue that is not only specific to Silicon Valley in general. I think the biggest thing to add here would be the exacerbation of the issue from the technology industry so fleshing that section out more would seriously add value!
Great Job! Looking forward to reading it again once finsihed.

- @TashaM09: Great article!!! Thanks for writing this!!!
- Another chunk of affordable housing will be a significant portion of the re-developed Vallco Shopping Mall in Cupertino when it completes; you could add this if you wish. Thanks for the article!! ---Avatar317(talk) 23:03, 18 November 2019 (UTC)
