Why is Agrona referenced as a potential "source" for this Celtic deity, when the cited reference actually seems to suggest almost the reverse (that Agrona is a hypothetical goddess based on the river Aeron, which would have been spelt as Agrona and "most river deities were female")?

This article should be deleted; there is no such god attested in Celtic mythology. The Welsh name Aeron is probably derived from Agrona - but other etymologies are possible. Agrona is absolutely NOT derived from Aeron. Cagwinn (talk) 04:42, 16 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
