Less than encyclopedic speculation

[edit]

The paragraph that tries to interpret the meaning of the lyrics just seems like one fan's speculation. It should be rewritten, it just sounds like some philosophical babbling right now. RECON (talk) 05:36, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Still no citation, and some people believe in other interpretations of this song. Does the real interpretation just no longer exist? This one says that the boy is brought back into reality by another boy, but there is no other boy. 202.40.0.113 (talk) 06:45, 29 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Cello

[edit]

I deleted the "(presumably played by Serj Tankian on keyboards)" sentence. In the toxicity backstage video you can see two cello players playing for chop suey. So why would Serj play it on a keyboard.

Arto Tuncboyaciyan

[edit]

Tuncboyaciyan is a Turkish-born American musician of Armenian extraction. So simply subsitutuing "Armenian" for "Turkish-born" does not improve the accuracy of the sentence in question. So I'll just call him a musician and leave it at that.

Duration of the song

[edit]

How can the gap between aerials and arto start at 3:50 if Aerials itself lasts 3:54? -- 85.181.17.149 10:01, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

the whole song, including arto is over 6 mins. but i think arto starts a little later.

It's actually named Der Voghormia, not Arto. gracz54 20:57, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Aerails47.jpg

[edit]

Image:Aerails47.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Music Video Description

[edit]

There's too much information on what the video shows. We can all see this from watching the video. A description of some possible meanings could improve this section. -- FishStik 21:00, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

Why remove the music section?

[edit]

Why remove the section of the arpeggios and the chords, you didnt have to do that. That was informative. --90.216.69.124 (talk) 13:17, 10 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Buddhism?

[edit]

Could the lyrics possibly be based on Buddhism? The "Life is a waterfall" line sounds like something from Buddhism. I don't know why I think that but somehow the lyrics remind me of Buddhism. The ending is particularly dramatic with the Medieval-style harmonies. It appears that the song could possibly have gothic rock along with the band's usual alternative metal genre. Should any of this be mentioned in the article? Explain.--Kevjgav (talk) 06:17, 18 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
