Disorder
[edit]Didn't there used to be an order to the entries of Historical & Fictional adventurers? The Bearded One 03:53, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
Harry Potter
[edit]I've removed Harry Potter because "A schoolboy who has an interesting life, however full of "adventures" is not an adventurer." --Tony Sidaway 15:54, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
Ordering of Entries
[edit]It has been almost one year since I noted that the order of entries has become more and more random. Therefore, unless I am dissuaded by the community, I will impose such order as I see fit in the next week or so. Comments welcome and appreciated. The Bearded One (talk) 20:47, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
If a particular adventurer is not notable enough to have a Wikipedia article of their own, then they are likely not notable enough to appear on this page. Until there is a page for Brandon Reynolds, he should be absent from the listings here. The Bearded One (talk) 06:38, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
- I have removed a few non-notable entries on the lists. Please refrain from overcrowding this page. The Bearded One (talk) 22:30, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
Terminology
[edit]"Adventurer" is one of many similarly negative terms referring to males (some of which can be found at Rake (character) but which also include eg blackguard), "adventuress" appears to be the only such term applied to women. Are there any others? Jackiespeel (talk) 18:18, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

Robin Hood - Historical Adventurer?
[edit]At time of writing, Robin Hood is listed under "Historical adventurers" - is there much evidence for his being a historical character, at least as described? (The description appears to me to reference the classical "steal from the rich to give to the poor, Maid Marion and Merry Men version".) (edit: My apologies, I forgot to sign. ^^; ) --41.246.23.103 (talk) 22:41, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
Merge with Adventure
[edit]I think both articles would benefit - not sure how long the proposal has been up but will go ahead if no objections by the end of July Thruxton (talk) 07:23, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
- I've boldly performed the merge. Hiding T 10:59, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
