[edit]Since the concept review copies/samples isn't exclusive to publishing, it'd be good to have some mention of the practice in other industries.
Review copies are common in the video game industry, and the seeding of review units/samples of various consumer electronics products to reviewers is standard practice. --Veikk0.ma 12:11, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
