Copyvio concern
[edit]This page is entirely plagiarised or close paraphrased from this http://www.adrienpommier.com/. I have hidden all the text rather than delete it, but it needs to be paraphrased properly to avoid copyvio concerns. ColonialGrid (talk) 16:27, 7 April 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks, ColonialGrid, for keeping an eye open for copyright issues. After a quick look-around, I'm almost certain that the two pages were created by the same person; I also notice that CorenSearchBot did not flag this page as a copyvio, which could perhaps mean that the internet page was created later. I've posted some suggestions to the new user on how to put this right – it shouldn't be difficult. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 23:37, 7 April 2015 (UTC)
- Update: the page at http://www.adrienpommier.com has completely changed; it's in French, and is much more complete than our page. ColonialGrid, Jerodlycett, do you have any remaining concerns, or can we regard this as settled? Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 13:24, 9 April 2015 (UTC)
- Given my concern wasn't the copyvio itself, but the way it was handled, it's up to @ColonialGrid:. Jerod Lycett (talk) 13:49, 9 April 2015 (UTC)
- I still have concerns about the close paraphrasing. Can OTRS tickets be used to confirm a release from a website's owners? ColonialGrid (talk) 14:53, 10 April 2015 (UTC)

[edit]I don't know if this person is going to pass the notability barrier. For what it's worth, here's a source that covers his summary executions of collaborators during the German retreat:

- Most of them only talk about the battle or the book, or are absolutely not RS, but lamontagne.fr has the following (google translated)
The author of the book Billom 1941-1943 (2) and the twenty panels of the exhibition presented as part of this anniversary, spoke about the path of Adrian Pommier. This young resistant had established contacts with resistant already organized in Clermont-Ferrand: Pierre Dejussieu, Jean Chapat, Jacques and Yvonne Miller, but also with Walter Bing and Djenan Gourdji (if ur Françoise Giroud).
- I can't tell if it's WP:RS as I know nothing of it nor its editorial oversight. I don't have access to the books, but question if any of them have significant coverage of the subject. Jerod Lycett (talk) 09:41, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
- The cover of the Billom book is visible at http://www.adrienpommier.com. It lists Pommier as a topic. However Éditions Authrefois, the publisher of the book, has only three titles listed in WorldCat; all are by Manuel Rispal, who appears to be an amateur historian. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 13:24, 9 April 2015 (UTC)
WordSeventeen talk, please revise the article again, we have added inline citations to sources from the French government. Yes, our sources refer to the battle and the involvement of the 4th company which was commanded by Adrien Pommier (Alias Captain Hoche). Quicksocial (talk) 21:21, 17 April 2015 (UTC)
Jerodlycett talk, feel free to purchase the books, they're available on Amazon and Google. I purchased the book as it features my grandfather, not only on the cover but at length in the text. Quicksocial (talk) 21:21, 17 April 2015 (UTC)
Justlettersandnumbers talk, about your comments on Manuel Rispal, I am not an expert on the parameters for a professional historian but I researched him on the web and I found that he is a respected journalist and historian. Please check the following links. You can also inquire about him at the French newspaper, La Montagne. Could you offer insight on the parameters for a professional historian? Do you have any published material on the matter? Quicksocial (talk) 21:21, 17 April 2015 (UTC)

Sections needing more information on subject
[edit]Both Mont-Mouchet Battle and Liberation have very little information directly about the subject, if any. They need expanded to talk about the subject. Jerod Lycett (talk) 09:29, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
Good afternoon to everyone, I am Bernard Pommier the son of Adrien Pommier
[edit]I love Wikipedia but I am not an expert editor so any help will be welcome.
To answer ColonialGrid (talk) Below he/she have concerns that this Wikipedia article is a plagiarised version of www.adrienpommier.com I can ensure you that it is not as www.adrienpommier.com is mine and all the content photos etc. are from my father personal original carnets that are in my possession and given to me when he was alive. So please don't hide the text.
To answer many others that are not sure of the notability nor interest to have an article about Adrien Pommier. Well it is through I have spent my youth seeing strangers coming to my house thanking my father with tears on their eyes for what he has done for them during the war and beyond, I also saw the respect of his men and superiors in commemoration of the Mont Mouchet (the largest resistance concentration during WW2). I also have a lot of documents and photos to prove (unfortunately I don't know how to upload them in Wikipedia without someone else removing them). Honestly, I think they are of public interest as there are no other photos like that on the resistance or liberation, most of the photos you find on resistance have been staged and are fake.
There is a lot of book mentioning my father and his participation in the secret army as well as later the resistance maquis and battles and not since 1944 but 1942 when the resistance against the Nazis occupants just started. Finally when he died over a thousand people including resistants, military, politic leaders, even a former president and simply people he helped assisted his burial ceremony.
It is correct I don't know how to make the page better but the fight against Nazi Germany is an important part of our history (the human history) and My father was an important part of this combats for what many people are saying. and written in documents and books below. Aside from some reference already in the page mention of my father are in many places but I do not know how to put the links as references he was wanted by the Gestapo so during the period he used different aliases like Arthur, Hoche etc.
https://www.belin-editeur.com/carnets-dun-heros-ordinaire http://docplayer.fr/21652266-Miliciens-en-haute-loire.html http://tao-yin.fr/resistance-et-maquis/le-maquis-du-mont-mouchet
Among the many documents and photos of this period I am willing to upload could maybe help someone else
Thanks
