Merge?
[edit]Good work bringing the material together @Skvader, but does this really need an article of its own? It would appear as if this content could be merged into Adoption? Iljhgtn (talk) 23:45, 17 November 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Iljhgtn, I get that there's a lot of overlap, I'm hoping to make some improvements to the Adoption article soon. My primary reason for spinning this off was the length of the Adoption article; the 70-year history of adoptees advocating for themselves gets lost because that article is so large. It's a relatively hot topic in U.S. legislative news (e.g., "the number of states granting adoptees unrestricted access to original birth certificates has nearly doubled since 2019, from eight to 15." [1]), so it seems worthwhile to have the visibility of a separate article. Skvader (talk) 05:37, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
- I linked this page to the see also section of Adoption then for now. Iljhgtn (talk) 05:45, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
