Consistency of regions across Solami articles

[edit]

We could do with getting the "number of regions" stories straight at Somalia#Administrative divisions (lists 18, notes there are now 27, Districts of Somalia (lists 19) and Regions of Somalia (lists 27). I appreciate the changes since circa 1990, but we should be capable of discussion the history of region changes. Currently, at best, Districts of Somalia serves to confuse. --Tagishsimon (talk) 01:41, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I removed Saaxil from this article's list. The article says it is about the regions as they existed before the Somali Civil War, in which case Saaxil would be part of Woqooyi Galbeed. ---Sluzzelin talk 01:54, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
On the page Sahil, Somaliland#History, it is written (with a ref) that Sahil region was restored in 2020. Could you update the numbers of regions/districts and the list of Administrative_divisions_of_Somalia#Regions_and_districts ? 80.215.133.82 (talk) 17:07, 10 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Districts

[edit]

Article states there are 90 Districts, but the list contains 93. there are 4 districts which I am in doubt about from the list: Galhareri (Galguduud); Mahas (Hiraan); Xagar (Lower Juba); Dhahar (Sanaag) which would bring it back to 89 Districts. Robgray06 (talk) 11:36, 2 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

According to Statoids, there are 84 official national districts [1]. Galhareri and Dhahar are among them, but Mahas and Xagar aren't. The remaining two listed unofficial national districts appear to be Ceelbare and Rabdhuure. Shibis-Waberi in Banaadir seems to have been split into two separate districts. Well, according to everyone I talked to in Mogadishu, there are alledgedly 92 districts. But nobody seems to have a list.Potjernik (talk) 13:53, 7 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

checkmark Semi-done, as I put it under Somalia since the image shows the provinces in 1967. Cheers! Cocobb8 (💬 talk to me! • ✏️ my contributions) 17:44, 9 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
