Because that it is how it was spelled in the original. But Oran is going to be much more familiar to most readers than Oram. I have found that well-intentioned contributors routinely make "corrections" based solely on assuming what looks like a typo to them is a typo. I have found it is important to anticipate well-intentioned but mistaken corrections.
