[edit]

In order to uphold the quality of Wikipedia:Good articles, all articles listed as Good articles are being reviewed against the GA criteria as part of the GA project quality task force. While all the hard work that has gone into this article is appreciated, unfortunately, as of July 4, 2009, this article fails to satisfy the criteria, as detailed below. For that reason, the article has been delisted from WP:GA. However, if improvements are made bringing the article up to standards, the article may be nominated at WP:GAN. If you feel this decision has been made in error, you may seek remediation at WP:GAR.

  • Much of this article is uncited.
  • There is one dead link.[1]
  • Several sections are written as a sequence of one sentence paragraphs, and much of it reads like a corporate brochure.
  • There has been a request for citation outstanding since May.
  • What's the status of this ball design now? Is Adidas still making it?
  • The prose is generally poor, with confusing tenses. For instance, "A special match ball was used for the final game—the "Teamgeist Berlin". The design is the same as the other match balls ..."
  • "Also in 2007, the FIFA Women's World Cup +Teamgeist matchball will be blue and red with white trim." That was two years ago now, so why "will be"?
