Adi-karnataka is not the same as adi-dravida. There are several differences. 1. adi-karnataka people speak only kannada. They have nothing to do with tamil or never spoke tamil in their history. 2. adi-dravida are tamil-speaking people and are also called as "mAdigaru" in karnataka != adi-karnataka. 3. categorisation should therefore be under people of karnataka. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Nareshov (talkcontribs) 20:05, 6 May 2007 (UTC).[reply]

A small group of kannada(not telugu) speaking! adi-karnataka people are living in Madurai and Theni district of Tamilnadu. They get their caste certificates in the names of Adi-dravida/arunthathiyar/chakkilian/Madiga. I would like to know their origin. I believe we are here for more than 200 years. No history is available. Madigas are Telugu speaking not Tamil speaking. Kannada is nothing but Tamil with pronunciation difference and after all Tamil is a mother of Dravidian family. I know both the languages. For argument sake, let us treat Kannada as a Aryan language. It is hard to believe Mandiya/Hassan Gowdas are Aryans. Kannada speaking brahmins are Aryans. Most of the Kannada literature are made by brahmins. If you are sure of something come out with points. Also, you can come out with points with little thinking on your own. You need not necessarily believe your father's words. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.174.110.2 (talk) 15:24, 28 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
