Hello, I have begun the review and will be posting feedback below. As issues are addressed, please add a note indicating your changes to the relevant item below. Thank you. Hmlarson (talk) 01:37, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Lead

[edit]
  • Please modify "and is one of the merengue-influenced songs from the album" to either "is one of (many/several/a few? or actual #)" or "is a merengue-influenced song from the album"
I took the latter approach. --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 07:50, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Despite having a title in English, " -> change to "Despite having an English title, " or something similar
 Done --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 07:50, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Critics praised the video's overall appeal and Shakira's appearance." Consider changing to "Many critics"
 Done --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 07:50, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Background and composition

[edit]
  • " Despite having a title in English," change to "Despite having an English title, " or something similar
 Done --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 07:50, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Music video

[edit]
  • Change "at Valencia" to "in Valencia"
 Done --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 07:50, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Change T-shirt to t-shirt
 Done --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 07:50, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Change "sports shoulder length" to "sports shoulder-length"
 Done --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 07:50, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • "The video was met with positive critical reception" --> consider changing to "Critical reception of the video was generally positive" or something similar
 Done --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 07:50, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Certifications

[edit]
  • Consider combining with Charts section per other GA articles about Shakira songs
I merged it since it's just one certification. --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 07:50, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]
  • Fix link to Idolator
 Fixed --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 07:50, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Fix Top 50 Canciones Anual 2012 reference (dead link)
 Fixed --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 07:50, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox

[edit]
  • Should Pop/Rock be added as genre?
Actually it's neither just pop/rock. I think we should be specific in this category, hence I listed merengue. --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 07:50, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
You can add multiple. I personally would argue that the genre is pop/rock, more specifically Latin pop with merengue and reggaeton influences/styles (similar to what is described in the lead). This is always a subjective decision/classification, IMO. No change is necessary if you do not agree. Hmlarson (talk) 17:42, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
