On the title
[edit]The c in control in the title should be captalized. But I cannot change it. Can anyone do that? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lengzhe (talk • contribs) 21:59, 27 April 2012 (UTC)
On expanding this stub
[edit]Could an alias for this topic also be self adaptive system? I could not find an article for self-adaptive system either, so instead of evolving two articles on the same subject, one should be preferable. Vonkje 23:59, 26 Jun 2005 (UTC)
The Adaptive control is more interesting topic, I would like to know some relationship between Adaptive and Predictive Control with Robust control, I mean are they mere words? Or is there something,
On Stability
[edit]I would suggest to extend the article to incorporate provably stable adaptive schemes. Many of the mentioned approaches are not provably stable and, thus, should be clearly marked as "if you're lucky, this works, but if you're unlucky, someone might die".
On Iterative learning Control (ILC)
[edit]ILC is not a Adaptive Control Scheme. On a first glance it does look similar. However, as also argued by Moore et al., ILC lacks the explicit formulation of an controller. Furthermore, ILC changes the control signal u rather then the controller structure. Thus, I'd leave it in this article and make a comparison between ILC and Adaptive Control.
Incorrect diagram
[edit]Unless I'm misunderstanding something, the 'System' and 'Controller' blocks seem to be swapped in the figure captioned "Adaptive control with Multiple Models" (the block diagram with the colorful blocks). I might put a correction together if I get some time, but thought I'd mention it in case anyone has a convenient replacement. /ninly(talk) 15:45, 23 October 2018 (UTC)
