"Edema section"
[edit]The edema section needs some work. I know for sure that post-strep glomerulonephritis is a nephritic syndrome, which means that protein loss is not extremely high, as would be expected in a nephrotic syndrome (nephrosis). So, hypoalbuminemia is probably not a cause of the edema in this case. I would edit, but i just chanced on this page while studying for an exam... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.49.180.119 (talk) 15:40, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
Moved
[edit]Following the nomenclature of ICD-9 [1] and Robbins and Cotran's Pathologic Basis of Disease, I've moved this page from post-streptococcal glomerulonephritis to acute proliferative glomerulonephritis. --David Iberri (talk) 02:24, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
Awkward name
[edit]"Acute+proliferative+glomerulonephritis" Let me quote Google. There's only 4,040 results for this name. Can't we use the more classical Post-strep glomerulonephritis? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 182.255.99.214 (talk) 00:45, 15 March 2015 (UTC)
