I came across this article and I was very disappointed. This reads like a capsule review of the film, using far too much praise and far too few facts. It says definitively that this is "not a Blaxploitation film," on what basis? What makes the dialogue so "intelligent?" It doesn't even mention the song from the movie.

I've never seen it so I can't really make any worthwhile edits. I hope someone familiar with the film can do something. --feitclub 19:31, July 16, 2005 (UTC)

I'm not familiar with this film at all, but its title caught my eye. For God's sake, someone clean it up. It reads like a damn fan's review. --Thorns Among Our Leaves 15:45, 20 July 2005 (UTC)
I've seen the film, and it has indeed earned critical praise over the years. I've given a cite to that effect, added the Womack song, and tried to clean up the article. Accordingly I've taken off the NPOV tag. Wasted Time R 12:38, 23 September 2005 (UTC)
I clean it up some. I'm uncomfortable w/ the section now entitled BACKGROUND. Darn: NPOV and original work. I did my bit. And it won't be on my WATCH list. And it's now 2008. Luigibob (talk) 02:54, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
