I removed this statement: "The subfamily Acontinae presently holds only this genus. As the Scincinae are apparently paraphyletic, this might eventually change.(Austin & Arnold 2006)" - because if this was ever the case it does not seem to be now, this paper at least states that there are 3 genuses in that subfamily : "The endemic southern African fossorial subfamily Acontinae (comprising the three genera Typhlosaurus, Acontias and Acontophiops)" http://crandalllab.byu.edu/Portals/20/docs/publications/zsc_233.pdf Jztinfinity (talk) 01:20, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
