Hey, I'm going to be reviewing this article. Expect comments by the end of the week. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 01:44, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox and lead

[edit]
  • Content on the infobox looks good.
  • However, I would improve the non-free rationale for the image with this template.
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 16:33, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Channel 4 from 7 June 2017" → "Channel 4 on 7 June 2017"
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 16:33, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Wait, so are the names of the school and the town the same?
Yes. I removed the comment about the town in the lead, since the setting of the series is not majorly important to the theme of the show (the school is).
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 16:33, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Production

[edit]
  • Mark the second reference after "The Forge" as dead since it's dead.
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 16:33, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Mark the reference after "renamed Ackley Bridge" as dead.
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 16:33, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Mark the reference after "7 June to 12 July 2017" as dead.
Replaced ref. – DarkGlow (contribstalk) 16:33, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Additionally, that reference after "7 June to 12 July 2017" doesn't mention any dates.
Done Replaced with two separate references since there is no single ref that includes both dates. – DarkGlow (contribstalk) 16:33, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • When I said to mark the two citations as dead, I meant that you should add the "|url-status=dead" parameter, not the [dead link] tag.
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 00:23, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Casting

[edit]
  • Mark the reference after "real life" as dead by adding "|url-status=dead" to the citation.
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 00:23, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • A reference is needed for Amy-Leigh Hickman being "known for playing Carmen Howle in Tracy Beaker Returns and The Dumping Ground"
Removed as not relevant to this series and can be found on the actress' article. – DarkGlow (contribstalk) 00:23, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • "playing Eve in Eve" → "playing the title character in Eve"
Sentence removed. – DarkGlow (contribstalk) 00:23, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • A reference is also needed for Poppy Lee Friar playing the title character in Eve.
Removed as not relevant to this series and can be found on the actress' article. – DarkGlow (contribstalk) 00:23, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Esa Ashraf is not mentioned in this archive used after "two other children".
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 00:23, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Mark the reference after "control at home" as dead.
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 00:23, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • A reference is needed for Paul Nicholls portraying Steve Bell.
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 00:23, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Add a comma after "of Ackley Bridge College".
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 00:23, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • What's the purpose of using the quote starting with "organised and driven" in this article?
Removed. – DarkGlow (contribstalk) 00:23, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Actually, there are several quotes in the 2nd paragraph that are not needed so try removing some.
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 00:23, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Add a comma after "The Crossley Heath School".
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 00:23, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • The character names and traits of Aaron Turner and Javid Shah are not mentioned in this source.
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 00:23, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • "guest starred" → "guest-starred"
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 00:23, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Mark the reference after "Claire Butterworth, respectively" as dead".
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 00:23, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Vicky Entwistle and Kimberley Walsh, along with their roles as Sandra Turner and Claire Butterworth, are not mentioned here.
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 00:45, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Phoebe Tuffs-Berry, Zara Salim, Hareet Deol, and Ty Glaser don't appear here or here.
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 00:45, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Add a comma after "Hareet Deol" and "Natalie Gavin".
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 00:45, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Antonio Aakeel and James Atherton also don't appear here or here.
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 00:45, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • In the last paragraph, does every character need a description? Maybe try simplifying the paragraph and merging it with the fourth one.
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 00:45, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • "The castings come" → "The castings came"
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 00:45, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 00:45, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Reception

[edit]
  • Why is the last sentence from the Metro review just a summary of the show?
Removed. – DarkGlow (contribstalk) 00:57, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • The second review is from The Daily Telegraph, not The Guardian, so I would correct the name and the citation.
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 00:57, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Similarly, the first review in the second paragraph is from The Guardian, not the Telegraph as the citation says.
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 00:57, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Also, that same paragraph looks messy since it's basically just one quote. Try reducing it with the help of WP:RECEPTION.
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 00:57, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • The reference after "placed in care" is from Digital Spy, not Metro.
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 00:57, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Awards and nominations

[edit]
  • This reference doesn't mention George Ormond.
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 02:01, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • The source for the 2018 Irish Film & Television Academy Awards doesn't mention Ackley Bridge, Malcolm Campbell, or Robert Quinn.
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 02:01, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Malcom Campbell" → "Malcolm Campbell"
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 02:01, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Shouldn't the "Music" category from the Royal Television Society Yorkshire be mentioned last?
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 02:01, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • From that same ceremony, there are also multiple nominations not listed.
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 02:01, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • The name of the show and its single nomination at the 2019 TV Choice Awards is not mentioned here.
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 02:01, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • So are the categories listed in alphabetical order per year, or is there something I'm not seeing here?
There is no particular order at the moment, but when I fully go through the table, I will order the categories per award show alphabetically. – DarkGlow (contribstalk) 01:10, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • The Asian Media Awards for Best Entertainment Show is does not appear in this source.
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 02:01, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Ackley Bridge does not appear in this list for the 2020 TV Choice Award nomination for Best Drama Series.
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 02:01, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • For the last ceremony, several nominations are not listed here.
 DoneDarkGlow (contribstalk) 02:01, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
