- I wouldn't say it is an advertisement. Most readers are not shopping for accreditation commissions. People may want to know if a school they are considering is accredited by a credible agency.Herbxue (talk) 20:18, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
And it is a valid question, raised in Congress, whether the ACCSC is a credible agency. Gronteam (talk) 17:22, 2 September 2016 (UTC)
Why Accreditation is Important
[edit]Most people that are new to higher learning do not know a lot about the differences between the types of accreditation that schools have and what that can mean for them in the long run. If you want to transfer credits later on it is usually better to go with a school that is Regionally Accredited as most State schools are and many of the credits can be transferred. National Accreditation may sound more impressive but schools that have National Accreditation are mostly trade schools where it is more difficult to transfer credits.
I am curious to know if the ACCSC offers Regional or National Accreditation to schools.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Dalamps (talk • contribs) 17:19, 5 July 2013
- ACCSC is a "national" accreditor. See List of recognized higher education accreditation organizations. --Orlady (talk) 17:51, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
