Comment
[edit]Much of the information in this article is incorrect, at best. An earlier Wikipedia article was taken down because of problems associated with the information it contained. This article repeats the same problematic information.
The sources quoted seem to be regurgitating information supplied by the group itself, and do not reference any historical proofs...... so should be considered hearsay.

Broader scope
[edit]Almost nothing historically was written about the Accohannock, an obscure 17th-century subtribe of the Accomac who lived in Virginia not Maryland, so I broadened the subject of this article to include all the Accomac, so I could revise it based on established historical sources. Misinformation
[edit]The boundaries of the Accawmacke consisted of the entire Eastern Shore of Virginia, which includes Maryland! Accawmacke Indians were not loosely affiliated with Powhatan but tied through bloodline kinship! 2601:5C5:201:71F0:4B4:C3AD:E42B:F2DB (talk) 14:47, 3 June 2023 (UTC)

- This article is about the historic ethnic group. Your source says, "The American Indigenous Accawmacke Indians are the only indigenous community-based non profit organization focused on healing and reinvigorating the Eastern Shore," so they could be eligible to be included on the unrecognized tribes list.
