When did NY repeal the 1830 law & how do you know? citation please.
Article says, "New York repealed its 1830 law and allowed abortions up to the 24th week of pregnancy.[25" But when I went to the source for footnote 25, I found no such statement. The footnote is to Washington law (which of course might have a tangential reference to NY, but I could not find it.) So this statement needs reliable sources & a date at which time New York did the alleged repeal. (PeacePeace (talk) 22:44, 2 June 2019 (UTC))[reply]
When the woman requested it, pre Rowe. What does that mean?
Article says, "This made New York the first state to make abortion legal if a pregnant woman requested it.[22]" I note that in a general article on abortion there is a map referring to pre-Rowe law with a few states saying abortion was legal on request. What does that mean? Is it contemplated that a woman might be tied down & an abortion inflicted on her? Or is it thought that a non-pregnant woman might request an abortion? I went to this citation 22, but found nothing there about a woman requesting abortion. I think that reliable sources are needed for this "request it" statement. And also an explanation is needed as to what that means. (PeacePeace (talk) 22:55, 2 June 2019 (UTC))[reply]
LSS... the CDC numbers and NGO numbers are usually off by (about) 30%. Even after deep dives it's still hard to tell who's FOS. We can agree or disagree on opinion, but when the numbers are so far apart, it's difficult to find out the real stats. just a thought. 2600:4040:91F9:7700:101:8555:9B2C:E35E (talk) 06:30, 9 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
