Greek translation
[edit]Thank you, actually I can read Greek and doing so is part of my job. It is definitely not a Greek word; it's a transliteration and a borrowing. Since the manual of style insists that words in foreign scripts be transliterated and the transliteration is absolutely identical to the article title it really has no place here. --Lo2u (T • C) 19:55, 13 January 2017 (UTC)
- We often translate proper names as we did here for no reason other than just because. MoS is such a mess to read all of, and you probably are right. I see no reason we absolutely need this, and so I'll revert back to how you had it :). I thought you were implying the translation was incorrect, and though I know little Greek I could read it as literally translating Aborigines. I apologize if you thought I meant you didn't know Greek: I just meant that the sources said it's Greek and I was relying on them for accuracy. I'm moving through a building on the way upstairs so I apolgize for poor grammar. Psychotic Spartan 123 21:50, 13 January 2017 (UTC)
- Thank you. I'm sorry. I was probably being over-sensitive. --Lo2u (T • C) 11:44, 15 January 2017 (UTC)
