Expansion
[edit]Hi! I've written about as much as I'm going to. I'm not exactly experienced in the field of psychology, and though I would like to be able to better explain her work using the sources available, it would probably be better if someone more knowledgeable with the terminology and field does, or someone interested in doing so. Here are the sources I found and my short notes on them relating to her work, most of which I have not used information from in the article:
- cbs news
- quite useful for a simplified version of her amygdala work, and recent
- the week
- not entirely independent (author seems to have worked on some of the same studies), could support some specifics of the study if necessary
- psychcentral
- her work, existence of empaths, bit about The Fear Factor
- inverse
- useful for her work, dates, and specifics of her studies
- latimes
- her work, amygdala
- bcheights
- kidney donating, event at boston college
- huffpost
- mention of her work at georgetown, 2014
There's also sources about her book:
- forbes
- The Fear Factor "must-read brain books of 2017"
- psychcentral
- her work, existence of empaths, bit about The Fear Factor
- wsj
- review of The Fear Factor
- huffpost
- positive review of her book The Fear Factor
