not a Countess
[edit]This lady would never have been able to use the (courtesy) title of Countess. She died more than 22 years before her (remarried) widower was created Earl of Sheffield.

Abigail Holroyd, Countess of Sheffield → Abigail Holroyd, Lady Sheffield — this woman died while her husband was Baron Sheffield and she was never a countess Eddaido (talk) 23:48, 13 January 2011 (UTC)
- Abigail Baker-Holroyd, Baroness Sheffield would be better; Holroyd changed his name the year after his first marriage, and thirteen years before any peerage; and Lady Sheffield is ambiguous as to rank. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 22:06, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
