Craigellachie Bridge
[edit]The little bit about the Craigellachie Bridge has this sentence: "It was built after the Great Spate in the 19th century destroyed an earlier bridge." Can anyone provide any further information on either the Great Spate or the earlier bridge? I have not been able to find any reference to an earlier bridge, nor to a "Great Spate" in the 19th century before this bridge was built in 1814. There is the Muckle Spate, but that's 1829. Some sources, including official sources, say that the Muckle Spate is the earliest recorded flood of the River Spey. If this sentence can't be sourced, it should be deleted. Aberlour the town / Aberlour House
[edit]Is it just me or is more than 50% of this article to do with "Aberlour House" instead of Aberlour? Aberlour House isn't even strictly in Aberlour, its a couple of miles down the road outside the town. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.83.11.170 (talk) 07:44, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- I agree, it also seems that someone has placed a redirect for anybody who searches 'Aberlour House' to be shown this page too. Most of what is written about the house is uncited and some of it takes the form of random story telling then actual proper information and fact. I'm doing some edits to the page on Gordonstoun and it seems to me that anything about Aberlour House should come under that article instead seen as they are part of the same school. I'll be back in a few weeks and delete most of what it written apart from a few sentences to mention it, and move what is useful to the Gordonstoun article, as well as changing the redirect to for Aberlour House to Gordonstoun too. If anybody has any issues about this let me know. Rudy 14:02, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
Absolutely agree with the above. If I knew how to split the article I'd do it myself! Any interest in updating Aberlour section in time for bicentenary in 2012? Skirdustan (talk) 20:18, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
