Name?
[edit]Abel Tasman seems a very odd name to give a filly. Does anyone know how she got it? Not the first Oaks winner with a masculine name, see also Alcibiades (horse). Tigerboy1966 07:46, 6 May 2017 (UTC)
- Every time they run the Alcibiades Stakes I get mixed up, because my brain equates Alcibiades with Aristedes, the first Derby winner. So I'm doubly mystified when I look at the conditions and see its a race for fillies. Anyway, as to your question, I found a comment that the original owner of Clearsky Farms had a New Zealand connection. Can't find a good source yet though. Jlvsclrk (talk) 08:18, 6 May 2017 (UTC)
