Checking against the GA criteria
[edit]- It is reasonably well written.
- a (prose, no copyvios, spelling and grammar): b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
- "was a convicted counterfeiter whose death is closely tied to Old Newgate Prison after fatally falling during an escape attempt the night before the close of the prison" - sentence is quite choppy and could do with a split
- "Starkey was from Roxbury, Massachusetts" - shouldn't this be born?
- "but they were finally discovered the secret" - grammatically incorrect
- "Sheriff Johnson of Worcester" - can Worcester be linked?
- "In prison, Starkey was able to save up and set aside a good amount of money, but his good behavior" - however his good behavior

I done some copyediting if that's OK. I noted a couple of prose issues above, but nothing serious enough for this to be put on hold. Article is a little short but acceptable for something as scarce as this. Sounds like the Shawshank Redemption! JAGUAR 20:13, 2 November 2015 (UTC)
