Abdul Hamid Baba was Afghan
[edit]It is hard to place nationalities on people in pre-modern times. However Pakistan clearly does not exist until 1947, and the name is not dreamed up until 1933. The question is should Abdul Hamid Baba be considered Afghan or Indian. Although during his lifetime technically Peshawar was parto f the Mughal Empire, it was basically the Afghan back-country of the Empire, and with the Durrani's would securely be placed in Afghanistan in the future. Since he was actually a Pashto, it makes sense to classify him as Afghan.John Pack Lambert (talk) 04:32, 13 March 2013 (UTC)
