Cause of Death was Not Suicide As Per Historical Accounts As Well As Reference [1] Cited
[edit]Kayhan newspaper for September 25-26 1969 notes that General Hejazi recieved a gunshot wound while cleaning his gun at 12:00pm at his home and passed away at the Reza Pahlavi hospital on 4:30pm when his heart stopped. The circumstances of his death were mysterious as his guards had left their posts and his window in his room was wide open at the time he was shot but the official cause of death was ruled an accident and not a suicide at the time. If f you read reference [1] (rasekhoon.net) it actually says at the bottom of the page, "While cleaning his gun, a bullet suddenly came out of the barrel and killed him" (translated) Not sure why that reference would equate to the sentence for which it was cited. - Read carefully the source you're referring to:
The day he committed suicide in Tehran, there were many rumors and everyone was saying something. Newspapers wrote a few-line news, which was known to be the same. The news was set as follows: "While cleaning his gun, a bullet suddenly came out of the barrel and killed him." After his suicide, a very bad incident happened to her daughter.
He committed suicide, but the paper reported it as "While cleaning his gun, a bullet suddenly came out of the barrel and killed him." could you see? Egeymi (talk) 05:11, 31 December 2023 (UTC)
- No. I am his grandson, and his daughter Homa Hejazi (my mother) who was inside the house that day says that his guards were nowhere to be found and his bedroom window was wide open while he was in bed with a gun on the floor and him shot on his bed. Her mother Fakhri-Touran Hejazi in her official statement noted that her husband's death was an accident and his gun went off while he was cleaning it. The military made the report to the newspapers which was published the next day. He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead roughly 4.5 hours after the incident. - Your connection with him is not significant here. Also, please be familiar with the related policies. I just added the newspaper reports. Please don't delete the sourced information because it would be reverted. Egeymi (talk) 07:25, 31 December 2023 (UTC)
- Here's the account from his daughter, it's personal to her and it should not be included on the website. But as stated the official account was an accident, not suicide.
