[edit]Given the contentious nature of this change and the fact that this is a WP:BLP article, I have decided to remove the disputed parameter from the infobox until a consensus is reached as to what it should say. While it could be argued that he is a member of the FLN party, the fact of the matter is that he ran for president as an independent, whereas the FLN's party's nominee lost and as a result, the FLN suffered a serious defeat. Simply stating in such prominent place in the article that he's a member of the FLN makes it look as though he's been elected to implement the party's agenda or that he was endorsed by that party (which is factually incorrect and damaging to his reputation). Unfortunately, the guideline is of no help in this case, so input from the community is needed. M.Bitton (talk) 23:54, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
- Hi. He ran as independent but he is member of the party and of the central commetee. --Panam2014 (talk) 01:16, 19 December 2019 (UTC)
- Why not list it under the otherparty (other political affiliations) field instead? HapHaxion (talk / contribs) 05:21, 5 April 2020 (UTC)
