M.Bitton, Ruwaym,
I was interested to see a photo of Abdelkader Chaou appear in the article about him and then disappear from the English language article, in an apparent struggle to control the article's content. Internationally the image is representative of him on Wikidata, the Arabic-language Wikipedia and the Spanish-language Wikipedia. I consider the image to be a nice representation, if a bit low resolution. I thought the addition was positive for the article and don't understand its removal. I really don't see the possibility of a better image coming along. Is there a possibility of reaching consensus to keep the image? Best wishes to all, Jacqke (talk) 04:44, 4 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Jacqke: Sure thing. I have uploaded the best screenshot I could get from the same source, even though, the low resolution aside, I still don't believe that it's representative of Chaou. I have also replaced the Infobox with a more appropriate one and removed the irrelevant image of the Rebab from the article, as Chaou is closely associated with the Algerian Mandole. Best, M.Bitton (talk) 11:28, 4 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Jacqke: but he reverted my edits as Copyvio, and nominated them for speedy deletion in the Commons, while they are clearly under CC.
@Ruwaym:, I respect the efforts you are making. I have found it difficult to add images of living people; frequently editors find it hard to determine if licensing such as CC is valid. I have had properly licensed images rejected, either from confusion or because the people who licensed it were not clearly the owners of the image. Please don't be discouraged. I would ask questions in Commons; editors there are very good at resolving legalities of licensing. Best wishes, Jacqke (talk) 12:23, 4 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@M.Bitton: Yea sure its better than mine, and more high resoulotion, with a better description too, also in Licensing i can see better template too. Can you guide me exactly what i should read in WP:IMAGEPOL? --Ruwaym (talk) 11:59, 4 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Jacqke: I only upload from known channels on youtube, but take long time to check the license, here i mentioned to T Cells. So, Its Commons job to check it, until they check, we can use files here, especially when the file clearly published under CC, and the uploader is caring too. --Ruwaym (talk) 17:39, 4 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
