It's been suggested that this and the above article be merged. To my understanding, they are actually two different people - notice the bibliographies don't match - although contemporaries. We could do with having an expert clarify this, though. — Hex(❝?!❞)21:25, 1 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm certain that this is just one individual. I'll refer to the two articles abbreviating their titles with as ABJ and AQJ. Consider
the full names are identical apart from the usual spelling variants (and mistakes) and the inclusion of "bin Muhammad", giving his grandfather's name, in AQJ only;
the death date of 1078 AD given in ABJ is identical to 471 AH as given in AQJ;
Kitab ul-'Awdmil ul-Mi'a, given in ABJ is the same (apart from spelling variants and mistakes) as Al-'Awamel al-Mi'ah given in AQJ;
Kitab Jumal fin-Nahw, given in ABJ must be the same as Al-Jumal given in AQJ;
Asrar al Balagha, given in AQJ, is referred to in my more recent Britannica, where the article is nearly identical to ABJ.
