Statement failed verification
[edit]The statement from the article "McNamara grew up in a traditional Irish Catholic home." is not in the citation given. Rather, the only mention of either person's religion on the cited page is "Growing up in a traditional Indian Catholic family, Aarti spent Fridays dining on fish and Sundays at church." [emphasis added]. Bk314159 (talk) 15:29, 22 August 2010 (UTC)
- Forgot to include the citation; it is "Aarti Sequeira Bio: Chefs". Food Network. 2010. Retrieved August 21, 2010.

ignored (help). --Bk314159 (talk) 15:31, 22 August 2010 (UTC)- This was just a dumb little error on my part. I wrote Irish instead of Indian. You could have felt free to fix it yourself, but I've gone ahead and done so... (Also, somebody else switched the reference from Sequeira to McNamara. Not sure why, but I changed it back.) — Hunter Kahn 16:25, 22 August 2010 (UTC)
Middle name?
[edit]IP users have added "Batti" as Aarti's middle name, but so far, that information has been unsourced, so I've removed it as per WP:RS and WP:V. Anybody have a reliable, verifiable source that identifies her middle name? — Hunter Kahn 21:16, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Chicago?
[edit]Why is this in the WikiProject Chicago? What's her Chicago connection? — Hunter Kahn 13:34, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
- I've removed the WikiProject, as there is no indication of a Chicago connection. — Hunter Kahn 17:56, 12 December 2010 (UTC)
The article states she's a graduate of Northwestern's School of Journalism. I'll leave it to the Chicago project folk to determine if that merits a tag or not. Drmargi (talk) 18:03, 12 December 2010 (UTC)
Vandalism
[edit]May I ask that this page be locked?
Please see the history page.
Thanks.

- You can put in a request at WP:RPP, but there probably isn't enough recent vandalism to warrant protection. However, there are some users with this page on their watchlist (like myself) so we'll keep an eye on it. — Hunter Kahn 17:56, 12 December 2010 (UTC)

questions re description and place of gbirth
[edit]First, is she Indian or American? It seems to me she lives in the US. Second, When she was born, the city was called Bombay in English. It was changed to Mumbai in 1995 or so. I thought from other articles that the Wiki policy was to name the places of birth (and death where applicable) as they were called at the time. Does this apply to official names?--2607:FEA8:D5DF:F945:3CBC:BE6E:3836:AFCB (talk) 23:17, 18 December 2019 (UTC)
