Draft

[edit]

I am affiliated with Aaron Williams. The current article is a good start, but it is just a couple paragraphs long and does not have a filled-out infobox. I have prepared a draft at Talk:Aaron S. Williams/draft as a proposed replacement for the current page that I think would bring the article up to GA quality standards. Per WP:COI, I am sharing the draft here on Talk and requesting input from un-affiliated editors, to ensure it is an improvement, not spam, etc. CorporateM (Talk) 20:24, 18 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi CorporateM. Thanks for the note. I did some of the easier edits just now. What's remaining is visible here: <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:ComparePages?page1=Aaron+S.+Williams&page2=Talk%3AAaron+S.+Williams%2Fdraft>. I'm not sure I have the energy to finish reconciling the two right now. --MZMcBride (talk) 23:12, 23 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks MZMcBride. I've modified the draft so that it now only includes the content you didn't get around to reviewing (the bottom half) that I'm suggesting be added to the article. CorporateM (Talk) 14:05, 5 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello CorporateM. Responding to your note on my talk page, I read through the revised draft. I think that it is more than fine with respect to all potential-COI-related questions. I would suggest putting it into the article. I'd also be happy to do so but right now it would be just a fast job. I don't totally understand the proposed insertion mechanics, but you might want to check that you aren't duplicagin coverage of his earlier peace corps work. But that could be done after it is in. Sincerely, North8000 (talk) 18:27, 5 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@North8000: I would suggest you put in the proposed content per WP:COI. If some cleanup is needed or duplication needs to be addressed, I can do that. CorporateM (Talk) 12:15, 6 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I did it. I think that there is now some duplication. One suggestion would be to put a date or year on when he testified that there were problems in the Peace Corps. Makes a big difference. Depending on the date it would be either would be a statement of what he was going to work on vs. reporting on himself as doing a bad job. North8000 (talk) 17:02, 6 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
