  • "Aamir Khan first appeared on screen as a child actor" - we don't need his full name here.
  • "In 1999, he founded Aamir Khan Productions, whose first film, Lagaan (2001), was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, and earned him a National Film Award for Best Popular Film" - awkward phrasing. Both awards are in similar categories so not sure why in one, the film was nominated but in the other the film won him an award.
  • "He has a large followings" - grammar
  • "been described by Newsweek as "the biggest movie star"[13] in the world.[14][15][16]" - not sure why a Movietalkies source is placed after the quote when it's attributed to Newsweek.
  • "His work as a social reformer earned him an appearance on the Time 100 list of most influential people in the world in 2013." Are you sure that's why he appeared in the list? The source does talk about his films thematising social issues but that's not the same as "his work as a social reformer". And I'm pretty sure it's his success as an actor that earned him a spot on the list.
  • "Khan is also the second cousin of six-time Member of Rajya Sabha, former Bharatiya Janata Party vice president and the 16th Governor of Manipur Najma Heptulla, who is the grand-niece of Abul Kalam Azad." Do we really need this much information about his second cousin? The source doesn't support the claims that she is "former Bharatiya Janata Party vice president and the 16th Governor of Manipur" or "the grand-niece of Abul Kalam Azad".
  • " he appeared in Yaadon Ki Baaraat (1973),[29][30] which was the first masala film in Bollywood." That's a big claim and citing a WP:FORBESCON source doesn't suffice.
  • "He played tennis in state level championships and became a state-level champion" - repetition of "state level champion(ships)" in close proximity.
  • "He completed his twelfth grade at Mumbai's Narsee Monjee College,[34] and described his childhood as "tough" due to the financial problems his father had, as his film productions were mostly unsuccessful" - I'm not sure how his completion of twelfth grade correlate with his difficult childhood. And shouldn't this be mentioned earlier as by the time you're in college, you're no longer considered a child.
  • "After completing high school, Khan decided to discontinue studying" - this is rather confusing. In the third paragraph, it says he finished twelfth grade in Mumbai's Narsee Monjee College so how is it that he only completed high school?
  • "In addition to assisting Hussain, he acted" - don't start a new section with his pronoun, go for "Khan".
  • " The New York Times said that the film was" - author name is needed here.
  • "He followed this success with a leading role alongside Pooja Bhatt in Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin, a remake of the American film It Happened One Night, which was a box office hit" - what was a hit - the original or the remake?
  • The article lacks in sufficient coverage for GA. Let's take these few sentences as an example. "He appeared in several other films in the early 1990s, including Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar (1992), Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke (1993) (for which he also wrote the screenplay), and Rangeela (1995). Most of these films were successful critically and commercially.[60][61][62] Other successes include Andaz Apna Apna; at the time of its release, the movie was reviewed unfavorably by critics, but over the years has gained cult status." It mentions four films, of which at least two were highly popular so I'm afraid just a note of "he appeared in x film which was successful" won't simply do.

I'm afraid this is nowhere near GA status so I'm failing this. A few minutes of quick-reading showed several issues. The prose is weak in many places. There are some sourcing issues. It's not broad in coverage. This is what happens when you nominate an article you haven't worked on significantly for quality status.

Twinkle1990, when nominating an article, make sure you have a good grasp of every single source used in the article and check if the claims made in the article are actually backed up by reliable sources. Just a few edits here and there aren't sufficient. I see that you have been here for only a few months so please don't rush into these nominations. Take your time to properly familiarise yourself with the process. Check GAs on other BLPs and the GA criteria. FrB.TG (talk) 20:03, 15 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
